Parlapapi is a family solution for sending news and creating intergenerational links. This allows families to send, from a Whatsapp group, photos and notes that are printed and sent regularly to their grandparents’ mailbox.
The Parlapapi team has implemented 3 initiatives during the covid-19 crisis:
- Free of charge Parlapapi. The service has been made free of charge in order to allow as many people as possible to stay in touch with their elderly loved ones who are particularly isolated by the lockdown measures. More than 4,000 families signed up for our initiative and were able to send free Parlapapi during the lockdown.
- Launch of the A Nos Plumes association. Allowing volunteers to write to isolated people they don’t know. The Parlapapi team managed the printing and the mailing of letters throughout France. More than 1,000 mails were sent.
- Sending 150 children’s drawings in EHPAD with #NosVieux.
4,000 grandparents received paper photos of their family members throughout the lockdown thanks to our free service.
More than 1,000 isolated people received letters from volunteers wanting to give them a little attention and affection during this difficult time. 150 children’s drawings were delivered in 10 partner EHPAD to make the residents happy.
