WHEEL-E is a modular electric assistance system for the propulsion, steering and reversing of manual wheelchairs. The system completely frees the user from his handrails and thus allows the user to move effortlessly. The modularity of the system allows people in manual wheelchairs to remain independent while still being able to use an electric wheelchair. The system is an option to be added on manual wheelchairs to avoid the radical (and often definitive) switch to the electric wheelchair. It is a great tool for improving mobility and independence.
