A Resounding Success for Mobility and Innovation Among Young Entrepreneurs
As part of the Quirinal Treaty, which emphasizes youth mobility and innovation, the Embassy/IFI launched the YEP France Italia program in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Italy. This ambitious program is implemented in France by the Pépite France network, initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, and in Italy by the national network of university incubators, PNICube. The main objective of the YEP France Italia program is to facilitate the growth and mobility of emerging entrepreneurs, allowing them to explore new ecosystems.
Following the success of the first edition in 2023, which offered participants a personalized immersion into the host country’s various entrepreneurial ecosystems, YEP France Italia 2024 has renewed the experience with great success. This year, twenty mobility grants were awarded, equally distributed between France and Italy. These grants were funded by the French government, the Italian government, and the Kering group, enabling 20 promising young entrepreneurs to enjoy one-week stays in the partner country.
The Italian mobilities are currently taking place from May 19 to 28, 2024, including stops in Paris to participate in Vivatechnology, the largest European event dedicated to startups and technology, as well as in Strasbourg within the Pépite ETENA. These visits offered the Italian laureates an enriching dive into French innovation and an opportunity to forge connections with key players in the entrepreneurial field.
The French mobility will take place from June 9 to 16, 2024. The French laureates will visit Milan and the PoliHub incubator, as well as Bologna, where they will discover the Almacube incubator and participate in the international fair on artificial intelligence, technology, and digital innovation: We Make Future. These stays will allow the young French entrepreneurs to immerse themselves in the Italian ecosystem and discover new perspectives and collaboration opportunities.
A highlight of these mobilities was the lunch organized at the Italian Embassy in France, where the French and Italian laureates were invited in the presence of all the program partners. This meeting helped strengthen the ties between participants and institutional actors, underscoring the importance of international cooperation in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.
We are extremely proud to see these young talents benefit from such growth and collaboration opportunities. The YEP program continues to demonstrate that mobility and international exchange are essential drivers for the innovation and success of tomorrow’s entrepreneurs.
